"The body becomes both canvas and cartographer, mapping the territories where personal history meets collective memory."

Operating from Teshie's salt-swept shores, Josh Adjetey Akpor transforms unconventional materials into meditations on corporeal existence and cultural memory. This KNUST alumnus and blaxTarlines KUMASI affiliate constructs visceral narratives using earth pigments, charred timber, and industrial denim—materials that speak to both labor and land. His 2025 exhibition at Accra's Museum of Science and Technology explored Homowo traditions through twenty canvases and four spatial interventions, while his 2024 residency with Arms Around The Child expanded his practice into pedagogical territories, engaging youth through collaborative workshops.
