Torn is a reflection on the dilemma the diaspora faces. Born Ghanaian, the artist lived most of his adult life in the UK. The draw of the Sankofa bird weeping for the return of its people, in contrast to the appeal of life abroad. Raising the universal question: Where do you belong? Is it a geographical location or a state of mind?
